My First Pet ("we", "us", or "our") operates the My First Pet mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the App. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a display name. Authentication may be handled through third-party providers such as Google, in which case we receive your name and email as provided by that provider.
- Pet Information: You may create pet profiles containing details such as your pet's name, species, breed, birth date, weight, sex, and a photo. This information is linked to your account and stored securely.
- Usage Data: We may collect anonymised analytics data about how you interact with the App, such as features used and time spent, to help us improve the experience.
- Location Data: If you choose to use the nearby services feature, the App may request access to your device location to show nearby veterinary clinics and rescue centres. Location data is used only for that session and is not stored on our servers.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and pet profiles.
- To provide personalised care guidance, daily tasks, and reminders.
- To power the AI Pet Care Guide and deliver relevant, source-backed answers.
- To process subscription payments and manage your Premium membership.
- To send important service notifications, such as task reminders you have opted into.
- To analyse usage trends and improve the App's features and content.
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share data with trusted service providers who help us operate the App — such as cloud hosting, payment processing (Stripe), and analytics — strictly for the purposes of running the App. These providers are bound by their own privacy and security obligations. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) and secure cloud storage. Pet profiles are private to your account. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services including Google (for authentication and AI), Stripe (for payments), and social media platforms (for optional sharing). These services have their own privacy policies governing how they handle your data.
Children's Privacy
The App includes a Kids Zone with educational games and activities. The App is not directed at children under 13 for independent account creation, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the App's settings. You may also contact us to request data export or deletion.
Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App's services. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information and pet data from our active systems within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
